A Lively Learning Experience
Dear Happy Feet Academy Families,
I am delighted you are interested in Happy Feet Academy childcare center. I do not take the responsibility of caring for other parent’s children lightly. I am incredibly honored that you would trust me with the fragile emotional, physical, and cognitive development of your child. As a mother of five children myself (Alyssa, Serenity, Chloe, Paisley, and Hadley) I strive to provide an educational, fun, and most importantly safe environment for your child to express their interests and develop throughout early childhood.
I view our program and facility as a deeply integrated partnership between my family, our staff, and the families we serve. I hand select staff and never hire an individual that I would not trust my own children with. I have also developed a staffing structure, daily routine, and curriculum that can accommodate many learning styles and personalities, which helps each child develop into successful individuals when from infancy through kindergarten entrance.
As much as it is nice to know I care about your children, it is also important to know more about my education and qualifications. I have a master’s degree, three graduate certificates (Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Family Diversity and Well-being, and Research Methods), and a doctorate degree in Human Development and Family Studies. In addition, I have taught parenting, development, and family related courses at Iowa State University as well as our own local Central Washington University. My husband Logan and I were foster parents for two years and I have personally worked with more than 30 foster children, giving me a great amount of experience working with emotional and behavioral challenges.
I am so excited to work together and partner with you!
Sincerely,

Dr. Melissa Denlinger
