Lead Teacher

As a facility we are passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children. The Lead Teacher is responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate educational environment, and creating a program that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all of our children. The teacher will work closely with the Director to ensure our program provides education, physical health, emotional well-being and parental involvement services to all enrolled students.



  • Create a developmentally appropriate program for our students

  • Develop weekly lesson plans, activities and class set-ups

  • Assess children’s needs and development

  • Work closely with families to encourage mutual cooperation

  • Maintain positive language with the children at all times

  • Provide guidance to assistant teachers to help resolve issues with students when necessary

  • Ensure the safety of all children in our program

  • Closely follow licensing regulations related to child care

  • Maintain 30-40 hour work week to ensure adequate time interacting with children and families to encourage effective lesson planning and activities


  • 2+ years education in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field

  • 2+ years’ experience in teaching capacity and lesson planning

  • Passionate about the development and well-being of children

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to engage in quality parent interactions on a daily basis

  • Able to pass a criminal background check/fingerprints

Assistant Teacher

Assistant teachers help lead teachers carry out innovative lesson plans and enhance the learning environment for our students. These individuals should enjoy working with children, understand how they learn and develop, and assist with positive interactions constantly. An effective assistant teacher will have a learning attitude and team mentality. 



  • Assist in developing lesson plans based on state requirements and the specific needs of each child/class. 

  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor the development of each child

  • Understand the teacher’s routine when it comes to delivering a lesson plan and running the class in the event that the teacher is absent on a particular day

  • Work with children in the classroom to promote their learning and development

  • Communicate with parents and keep them informed about their child’s development and any changes to the regular day-to-day schedule



  • High school diploma/GED required

  • Valid ECE certification preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to maintain positive language with children at all times

  • Compassionate attitude and strong understanding of child development

  • Nurturing teaching approach
