Hi! My name is Tiana Pinero, I am the lead early preschool (Walrus) teacher here at Happy Feet. I have been here since the beginning and I couldn't imagine a better place to be. I am a recent Central Alumni. I graduated with an Elementary Education Degree and a Middle Level Mathematics Degree. One of my favorite things about working with kids is that there is never a dull moment. No matter how hard of a day it is, kids give you 1000 reasons to laugh and remember that everything will be okay. If I'm not working, you can typically find me staying busy exploring all different kinds of places around us!

I am the lead teacher in the Arctic Fox Room! I was born and raised in Skagit Valley, Washington, home of the tulips! I love being able to be a part of children’s everyday lives. It is so rewarding because you get to see them build and grow through the ups and downs. I am finishing up my Family and Child Life Degree at CWU and plan to go into working with Special Education.

Hello, I’m Kacie! I am so excited to start working at Happy Feet and get to know you all, and for you to get to know me. I have been working full time in a preschool classroom for a year, but I have been working with kids for over two years. I moved to Ellensburg to attend CWU and graduated in June of 2018 with my bachelors in Family and Child Life. I am so passionate about helping kids succeed, supporting family needs, and making learning fun. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and, and being active.

I was born and raised in Bothell, WA and I am currently enrolled at Central Washington University working towards my degree in Sociology while getting my minor in Family Science and getting a certificate in Child Development. I previously worked in a daycare for the YMCA in Mill Creek, WA where I was able to work with children from infants through 5 years old, while most frequently working with the older groups. I love working with kids and being able to help teach them new ideas and experiences. I enjoy going on hiking and spending time outdoors with my friends and family as well as doing fun crafts that I would like to incorporate in the classroom with different art and science projects!

I’m the assistant director here at Happy Feet! I am in the front office and do all of the meal preparation. I started here when we opened and have loved seeing it grow! I have a preschool-aged son and we stay busy with our two dogs and cat!  I love getting outside to explore our beautiful valley and am passionate about getting kids out to do the same. In my free time, I do a lot of crafting and am a self confessed Disney addict! One of my favorite things about my position here is getting to know the kids and families at Happy Feet and I am so excited to see the future of our center!
